At last, a sunny November day with the grass just about dry enough to do the first mow on the highest setting. The hay was then raked up and put on the bonfire and the meadow left for a few days to hopefully dry out before doing a final mow. Some very large ant hills and clumps of knapweed in particular caused the mower to clog on several occasions.
Unfortunately due to high winds the lovely autumn colours haven't lasted very long with the piles of soggy leaves adding to the mowing and raking problems.
End of November, still waiting for final mow.
